Blessed, Matt 5:3-9 (The Passion Translation), “What happiness comes to you when you feel your spiritual poverty! For yours is the realm of heaven’s kingdom. What delight comes to you when you wait upon the Lord! For you will find what you long for. What blessing comes to you when gentleness lives in you! For you will inherit the earth. How enriched you are when you crave righteousness! For you will be satisfied. How blessed you are when you demonstrate tender mercy! For tender mercy will be demonstrated to you. What bliss you experience when your heart is pure! For then your eyes will open to see more and more of God. How joyful you are when you make peace! For then you will be recognized as a true child of God.”

When we became followers of Christ, all of His blessing came with Him. In America, we live in the most prosperous country in the world. Yet we also have the most unhappiest people in the world. (According to the World Health Organization and Harvard Medical School). In Nigeria, they live in one of the poorest countries and have the happiest people.

This tells me that things don’t have the ability to make us happy! Only Daddy God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit can do that. The other crazy thing is that we try to accomplish this without Them. They are with you and in you. You are blessed and may not even know it!

Let’s quit being like the dog who chase’s his tail. Instead, let’s come to know we already have it.
