Brothers, Rom 14:21-24 (The Mirror Bible), “Do not let a diet issue undo the work that God has done in someone’s life. All foods are good in essence; it only becomes evil if someone causes or takes offence. For your brother’s sake, in order not to offend or tempt his weakness, it is better to not eat meat or drink wine in his presence. At the end of the day, it is your own belief that matters most before God; do what your heart approves of without allowing guilt to interfere with your joy. Don’t let principle and prejudice spoil your meals. Whatever is law- rather than faith-inspired is out of sync with the celebration of life.”
Many times it’s not the food that defiles us, it’s our own beliefs. We often try to make someone believe what we believe, which creates a division that cuts off fellowship. This happens not only over food and drink. We allow many things to divide us rather than allowing our similarities to bring us together.
So let’s not allow our differences to separates us. You might find out that you’re wrong about some things!
Be a Blessing, Sir Gregory
