Freedom — “Christ defines your faith; He is your freedom from anything from which the law could never free you. Find your firm footing in this freedom. Do not let religion trip you up again and harness you to a system of rules and obligations.” (Galatians 5:1, The Mirror Bible)

The very institution that is supposed to teach people about freedom is the very institution that creates bondage. Jesus came and showed us the way of freedom. The  institution of the Church has created the same kinds of rules and regulations that Jesus came to set us free from. Paul reminds us to not let religion put us back into bondage.

Jesus loves the Church, but He has been locked out of many because of their dependence on the laws that He came to fulfill. Jesus set us free. Let’s follow in His foot steps!
