Friends, Mark 2:3-4 (TPT), “While Jesus was preaching the word of God, four men arrived, carrying a paralyzed man. But when they realized that they couldn’t even get near Him because of the crowd, they went up on top of the house and tore away the roof above Jesus’ head. And when they had broken through, they lowered the paralyzed man on a stretcher right down in front of Him!”

The paralyzed man had some great friends. They not only took their friend to see Jesus, they also made a way to get directly to Him. They made sure their friend could get a touch from Jesus and ultimately get healed.

There’s another story about a man beaten and left to die (Luke 10). Those that should’ve been his friend passed him by. Then a man that should’ve passed him stopped and helped, saving his life.

We all need to be a friend to those around us, helping when help is needed. It doesn’t matter who or what is needed. We “get” to help others. And in doing so, we become like Christ!
