Encourage, JA. 5:13-15 (TPT), “Are there any believers in your fellowship suffering great hardship and distress? Encourage them to pray! Are there happy, cheerful ones among you? Encourage them to sing out their praises! Are there any sick among you? Then ask the elders of the church to come and pray over the sick and anoint them with oil in the name of our Lord. And the prayer of faith will heal the sick and the Lord will raise them up, and if they have committed sins they will be forgiven.”

Some translations use the word ‘should’ instead of ‘encourage’. Others say, ‘let them’ pray. I believe that ‘encourage’ is a better word. ‘Should’ creates a demand or law. ‘Let them’ puts that demand on individuals. The word encourage involves two or more people. We are to be a community; so we get to encourage others. It also brings us into agreement. We know that when two or more agree, Daddy God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit join in also. Let ‘encourage’ be a part of who you are!
