Speculations — “For we reach the goal of fulfilling all the commandments when we love others deeply with a pure heart, a clean conscience, and sincere faith. Some believers have been led astray by teachings and speculations that emphasize nothing more than the empty words of men. They presume to be expert teachers of the law, but they don’t have the slightest idea of what they’re talking about and they simply love to argue!” (1Timothy 1:5-7, The Passion Translation)

Proverbs tells us not to argue with a fool because we too will be seen as a fool. Paul is confirming this to Timothy. So many times we speculate about whether scripture is right or wrong. We want it to line up with our own assumptions instead of the truth of scripture! Our world is filled with all kinds of assumptions of when Christ will return or will there be rain tomorrow. They are so wide and far apart. We don’t have to speculate whether Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit love us or not. Jesus proved that once and for all on the cross.

Let love be your guide, not the world’s speculations of what is to come or not!
