Imparted — “He was amazed at the depth of their unbelief! Then Jesus went out into the different villages and taught the people. Jesus gathered His twelve disciples and imparted to them His authority to cast out demons. Then He sent them out in pairs with these instructions: “Take only your staff and the sandals on your feet—no bread, no knapsack, no extra garment, and no money.” (Mark 6:6-9, The Passion Translation)

Jesus was amazed at the unbelief of the people! Sounds a little familiar. So He gathered His closest friends and imparted to them His authority from on high. He gave them simple instructions to take no extra baggage and to go in pairs, teaching and setting the people free from their unbelief.

This authority and mandate haven’t changed! We are to set the afflicted free and to instruct them in the ways of the Kingdom of God!

Let’s be about the business of Christ and bring freedom to those around us! He imparted to us all His authority from the cross!
