Anchor, Heb. 6:18-20 (TPT), “So it is impossible for God to lie for we know that His promise and His vow will never change! And now we have run into His heart to hide ourselves in His faithfulness. This is where we find His strength and comfort, for He empowers us to seize what has already been established ahead of time—an unshakable hope! We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God Himself. Our anchor of hope is fastened to the mercy seat in the heavenly realm beyond the sacred threshold, and where Jesus, our forerunner, has gone in before us. He is now and forever our royal Priest like Melchizedek.”
In times like we are in now, we can trust that our anchor is snuggly attached to the hope that Jesus secured for us. Troubles come and go, but Jesus promised He would never leave us.
When the storm came to the disciples, they thought they would surely perish. It got to the point they woke Jesus up and asked Him if He didn’t care they were about to die! He got up and told the storm to hush and calm down. This is the same hope we can have.
Do you need to check that your anchor is truly set in Christ?
Be a Blessing, Sir Gregory
