Motivation — “Remember to stay alert and hold firmly to all that you believe. Be mighty and full of courage. Let love and kindness be the motivation behind all that you do.” (1 Cor 16:13-14, The Passion Translation)

Motivation is a powerful force helping people to accomplish many good things. It can also corrupt others when the motivation is for self gain. We live in a world where popularity, money, houses, cars, and such are the motivation for what we do.  Too many will do whatever it takes to get those things.

Basically, it boils down to selfishness. We have become a society that cares more abut self than others. Paul encouraged the Corinthian church to let love and kindness be their motivation. Let’s heed Paul’s words and begin the transformation of our culture by letting love and kindness be our motivation too.

We can do it! Jesus started with 12 and turned the world upside down. Let’s join in His  mission to bring reconciliation to God and to bring Heaven to to earth!
