Accomplishments, Phi. 3:7-8 (TPT), “Yet all of the accomplishments that I once took credit for, I’ve now forsaken them and I regard it all as nothing compared to the delight of experiencing Jesus Christ as my Lord! To truly know Him meant letting go of everything from my past and throwing all my boasting on the garbage heap. It’s all like a pile of manure to me now, so that I may be enriched in the reality of knowing Jesus Christ and embrace Him as Lord in all of his greatness.”

Paul counted all his accomplishments as nothing in comparison with his knowing Christ as Lord. He had a lot to lose — his status in the culture, power, honor, and much more. We see the story of a rich ruler who couldn’t forsake all to follow Christ. You might be thinking, “I don’t have much to forsake”. Jesus asked many to follow Him ,few did. No matter your accomplishments, small or large, Christ wants followers. Some have had to give up large ministries or ministry opportunities to follow Christ. The optimal word is ‘choice’. Christ never demanded; He asked. We all have this choice. Will you give all to follow Him?
