Others — “You say, “Under grace there are no rules and we’re free to do anything we please.” Not exactly. Because not everything promotes growth in others. Your slogan, “We’re allowed to do anything we choose,” may be true—but not everything causes the spiritual advancement of others. So don’t always seek what is best for you at the expense of another.” (1 Corinthians 10:23-24, The Passion Translation)

In a world that is consumed with itself, we are asked to look out for others and to defend those that can’t defend themselves. Jesus came to set us free from selfishness. We are to be a body — not an amoeba, not a single cell being. The scriptures from Genesis to Revelation guide us to look out for each other. The whole purpose of the love letter of the Bible to us is to teach us to love others as Christ loves them!

“Defend the defenseless, the fatherless and the forgotten, the disenfranchised and the destitute. Your duty is to deliver the poor and the powerless; liberate them from the grasp of the wicked.” (Psalms 82:3-4, TPT)

Instead of looking for the dirt in others, let’s expose the gold in them!

Be a Blessing,

Sir Gregory
