Reward, Matt 10:40-41 (The Passion Translation), “Whoever receives you receives Me, and whoever receives Me receives the One who sent Me. Whoever receives a prophet because he is God’s messenger will share a prophet’s reward. And whoever welcomes a righteous person because he follows Me will also share in his reward. And whoever gives a cup of cold water to one of My disciples, I promise you, he will not go unrewarded.”

All of us like rewards; in fact we search for them. Sometimes the reward is right in front of us and we don’t recognize it. We make levels of rewards, like one is better than the other. What’s better, the reward of a prophet or the reward of a righteous person? They are of equal value!

Reward is a fancy way of saying a gift for a service. This is a time that we are to do something. Then comes the reward. We have to receive it!
