Value — “What is the value of your soul to God? Could your worth be defined by any amount of money? God doesn’t abandon or forget even the small sparrow He has made. How then could He forget or abandon you? What about the seemingly minor issues of your life? Do they matter to God? Of course they do! So you never need to worry, for you are more valuable to God than anything else in this world.” (Luke 12:6-7, The Passion Translation)

What is your value? Most would answer with their current 401k, bank statement, how much land or homes they own, the car they drive, or maybe how much stuff they have. Those can all be good, but that is not their true value. We put too much emphasis on things that really don’t matter.

Your worth comes from who you are — not what you have! Are you a truthful, caring, trustworthy person? These are all good characteristics that matter, but what’s even more important is that your true worth comes directly from Daddy God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. Daddy God values the least of things, like the birds of the air.  So imagine how valuable you are to Him? He even numbers the hairs on your head!

So let me ask again, what is your value?
