Agreement — “Take this most seriously: A yes on earth is yes in heaven; a no on earth is no in heaven. What you say to one another is eternal. I mean this. When two of you get together on anything at all on earth and make a prayer of it, My Father in heaven goes into action. And when two or three of you are together because of Me, you can be sure that I’ll be there.” (Mathew 18:18-20, The Message Bible)

Jesus was teaching about forgiveness and sin when He introduced the power of agreement. He is with us even when we are alone. But we can bring in more power once we get Jesus, Daddy God, Holy Spirit and others to agree with us.

This is especially true when our agreement is over unforgiveness! Many times we use Matthew 18 for church discipline when it really should be about restoration. Instead of looking for the negatives of life, let’s look for the restoration of life. The Gospel is all about restoring planet earth back to its original design!

In so many places throughout scripture, we see unity as the theme. Revelation even talks about when we are in unity we can call with the Spirit for Jesus to come. Let’s get our yes’s and no’s into the right agreement!
