Hidden — “No one lights a lamp only to cover it again under a kitchen utensil, or hide it under a bed. It is placed on a stand to give maximum light to all who enter the house. There is nothing hidden that will not become fully known; even things that have long been unnoticed will come to light. It is therefore most important that you hear in such a way that what you have already grasped, becomes fully unveiled in you; don’t think that, just because you have heard something that sounded convincing at the time, it will go unchallenged. You may even assume that you’ve grasped it, but then, when contradictions come, you’re not so sure anymore.” (Luke 8:16-18, The Mirror Bible)

We think because we hear something we understand it. Too many times we read over scripture and think we know what it means. When in reality if Holy Spirit doesn’t reveal it to us, it’s still in that hidden place. We either read right over it or ignore it. Christ came and lit the eternal light within us.

Daddy God has turned His light toward our culture and is revealing all the hiddenness in it — no longer to be looked over. His light is not only shining in the world, but He has aimed it at His people first.

If we have any hidden thing within us, let’s reveal it ourselves before it’s exposed!
