Authentic, Phil 2:2-3 (The Passion Translation), “So I’m asking you, my friends, that you be joined together in perfect unity—with one heart, one passion, and united in one love. Walk together with one harmonious purpose and you will fill my heart with unbounded joy. Be free from pride-filled opinions, for they will only harm your cherished unity. Don’t allow self-promotion to hide in your hearts, but in authentic humility put others first and view others as more important than yourselves.”

It’s interesting that the very thing Paul asked of the early church was that that they be authentic and humble in all they did. Holy Spirit requests the same thing from us today. Jesus lived a life of authentic humility. When we learn to be authentic and humble in all we say and do, that’s when we will live our lives in true unity. Authenticity, humility, and unity will become more than mere words; they will be the essence of the complete, Christian lifestyle.

When you allow yourself to be authentic (honest in all you say and do), and when you trust God enough to put others first, then true love will just naturally flow out to those around you! It’s the perfect recipe for heaven on earth!
