Hear — “They keep saying to one another, ‘Let’s go hear what YAHWEH has to say.’ They all flock to you to sit at your feet as my people. They listen to your words, but they will not act on them. Instead, they express genuine devotion to YAHWEH, but their hearts are set on cheating others. As far as they are concerned, you are like an entertainer who sings a love song with a beautiful voice to a good musical accompaniment. They hear what you say, but no one will do it” (Ezekiel 33:30b-32, The Passion Translation)

This is an example of today’s western Christianity. We go to Sunday church, possibly 52 weeks a year, plus some Wednesday services, and maybe even a few conferences.  Yet did any real change occur for ourselves or our society? How many times do we say, “that was such a good sermon” or “series,” yet it had no real effect on us! It’s like we went to a movie or a music concert for entertainment.

It can also be like going to the doctor and leaving with no intentions on doing what they said to do. This ought not be!

Let’s change our mindsets that keep us from following Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. The world needs wholehearted followers to bring love that brings true transformation.

Let’s not just be hearers; let’s be doers also!
