Identity, Rom 8:20-21 (The Mirror Bible), “Every creature became subject to a frustrating life of vanity and futility, because of a lost identity. Creation involuntarily fell prey to a mindset imposed upon everyone. Yet within this stark setting, hope prevails. With eager expectation, every creature yearns to be released from its slavery to this wearisome, perishable existence; trapped within a fragile time frame of fading glory, into the glorious freedom of discovering their true sonship. They are indeed children, and not mere "creatures" of God.”

So often we have expectations of what should or shouldn’t happen. Our expectations mostly come from an earthly perspective, not from a heavenly perspective. Not only have we lost our identity, all of creation sufferers along with us!  Yet in all the chaos and confusion of life, we have a hope that changes everything. It’s the love of Daddy God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit that brings us back to a complete hope.

In this, Holy Spirit teaches us that we aren’t mere creatures— we are children of Daddy God! Our identity isn’t just as earthly creatures but also as sons and daughters of heaven!
