Intrest — “Be free from pride-filled opinions, for they will only harm your cherished unity. Don’t allow self-promotion to hide in your hearts, but in authentic humility put others first and view others as more important than yourselves. Abandon every display of selfishness. Possess a greater concern for what matters to others instead of your own interests. And consider the example that Jesus, the Anointed One, has set before us. Let His mindset become your motivation.” (Philippihians 2:3-5, The Passion Translation)

This time of year we gather to be thankful. But why? It’s suppose to be a time of thankfulness for our journey in life. But it seems we get caught up in our own interests. Instead of being grateful for these gatherings, we hear the grumblings of having to be around people that we really don’t care for. This ought not be!

Let’s take time this season to really put the interest of others over our own.
