People — “They said to all the people of Israel, “The land we traveled through and explored is a wonderful land! And if the Lord is pleased with us, He will bring us safely into that land and give it to us. It is a rich land flowing with milk and honey. Do not rebel against the Lord, and don’t be afraid of the people of the land. They are only helpless prey to us! They have no protection, but the Lord is with us! Don’t be afraid of them!” (Numbers 14:7-9, The Living Translation)

Many times we let the fear of people keep us out of our promised land. Joshua spoke to the people about the promise they had. He told them they could defeat the giants that stood before them. They had the promise of a land flowing with an abundance of everything they needed.

Jesus came and spoke to the people with the same promise. Then He even made a way for us to cross over. By accepting His gift of life, we too can reach our promised land.

Let’s not allow the fear of people to keep us from our all that God has promised us!
