Prayer — “I pray that your thoughts will be flooded with light and inspired insight; that you will clearly picture His intent in identifying you in Him so that you may know how precious you are to Him. What God possesses in your redeemed innocence is His treasure and the glorious trophy of His inheritance. You are God’s portion. You are the sum total of His assets and the measure of His wealth.  I pray that you will be overwhelmed with an understanding of the magnitude of His power, which He has wrought in the finished work of Christ. This is what results in the dynamic of your faith.” (Ephesians 1:18-19, The Mirror Bible)

What a prayer Paul prayed for the Church! The church needs people who will pray in this way. In the preceding verse, Paul prays that the church would have wisdom and revelation. This kind of prayer needs to be an ongoing prayer. Ones filled with faith, hope and love. Prayers that speak life and not death. Prayers that bring power and restoration.

So what are we waiting for? Will you join me in praying for the Church to awaken and return to Christ?
