Prayers, Phil. 1:2-5 (the Passion Translation), “May the blessings of divine grace and supernatural peace that flow from God our wonderful Father, and our Messiah, the Lord Jesus, be upon your lives. My prayers for you are full of praise to God as I give Him thanks for you with great joy! I’m so grateful for our union and our enduring partnership that began the first time I presented to you the gospel.”

In studying Saul-to-Paul’s life, we see an example that will either encourage or discourage us. I say this because Saul pretty much had a life that was amazing to a lot of people. One that we aspire to be like. He was a man that rose up to fame in the religious system of his time, and then gave it all up to follow Jesus. That seemed kinda crazy!

This man, who one had it all, ended up in prison and wrote the majority of what we call the New Testament. He did this all to follow the man we call Jesus who gave up His life too. Doesn’t seem like a career path that we would voluntarily take. Yet Paul prayed for others when it seems he needed those prayers for himself. It is almost unbelievable, until you too meet that man called Jesus. This Man gave up His life so you and I could live a life of true freedom.

Let’s not forget who we follow in this season of life!

Be a Blessing, Sir Gregory
