Roots, Jer 17:7-8 (The Passion Translation), “I will bless with happiness the one who trusts in Me, the one who trusts in Me alone. He is like a tree planted on the riverbank, extending its roots into streams of water. It does not fear when scorching heat comes, for its leaves remain fresh and never fading even in a year of drought. It has no anxieties but continues to bear luscious fruit.”

We are described as a tree planted by the river, extending our roots into the depths of the river. Even when troubles are all around, we still have fruit in our lives for others to eat from.

These roots are our faith in Jesus, Daddy God, and Holy Spirit. Christ gives us His faith so we can grow tall and sturdy, producing fruit (nourishment) and shade (comfort, rest) for the weary travelers of our day.

Let your roots grow around Jesus the rock, providing peace for a peace-less world!
