Seeds — “God will never be mocked! For what you plant will always be the very thing you harvest. The harvest you reap reveals the seed that you planted. If you plant the corrupt seeds of self-life into this natural realm, you can expect a harvest of corruption. If you plant the good seeds of Spirit-life you will reap beautiful fruits that grow from the everlasting life of the Spirit. And don’t allow yourselves to be weary in planting good seeds, for the season of reaping the wonderful harvest you’ve planted is coming!” (Galatians 6:7-9, The Passion Translation)

In our fast moving society we want everything now. To this point, in the natural world, we have engineered seeds that produce faster and grow more crops. But at what cost? We are finding out that most of these super seeds are having less and less nutrients. Some have none and are even creating negative effects on our bodies!

We are also producing spiritual seeds that have no true value. We take scriptures and interpret them in ways that make them of no effect. Jesus said, “Do you really think God will honor your traditions passed down to others, making up rules that nullify God’s Word? And you’re doing many other similar things.” (Mark 7:13, TPT) This is what we have been doing for a long time — making our seeds of faith to have no effect!

Let’s not get tired of doing good. Let’s not make short cuts to have a faster outcome! Instead, let’s stay the course and walk the path set before us!
