Serve, Josh 24:14-15 (TPT), “Now therefore, worship Yahweh with holy awe and serve Him in authentic love and loyalty. Remove from your hearts every false god to whom your fathers bowed down beyond the Euphrates and in Egypt and serve Yahweh. If it seems wrong in your eyes to serve Yahweh, then make your decision today which gods you will worship—the gods which your ancestors worshiped in Mesopotamia or the gods which the Amorites worship in the land where you are now living—but I and my family, we will give our lives to worship and serve Yahweh!”

The people enthusiastically said they would serve Daddy God. Yet it wasn’t long after that they began to worship and serve other gods and things which eventually lead them back into captivity.

We like to quote the verse that says ‘me and my house will serve Daddy God’. And yet we do the very things that the Israelites did. We worship things more than Jesus. We don’t allow Holy Spirit to freely operate in our houses of worship. We allow jealousy, strife, envy, and all kinds of stuff into our lives and culture. We even allow our schools to teach things that are opposed to Godly principles.

Yet Daddy God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit still love us. They have mercy and grace towards us. So let’s let that verse be true in our lives that ‘we and our family will serve Daddy God, Jesus and Holy Spirit only’.
