Shocked — “When she recognized Peter’s voice, she was so excited that she forgot to open the door, but ran back inside the house to announce, “Peter is standing outside!” “Are you crazy?” they said to her. But when she kept insisting, they answered, “Well, it must be his angel.” Meanwhile, Peter was still outside, knocking on the door. When they finally opened it, they were shocked to find Peter standing there.” (Acts 12:14-16, The Passion Translation)

Interestingly, they were having a prayer meeting and praying that Peter would be released, but when Peter was released and standing at the door, they were surprised — shocked even. They got the an answered prayer, yet they truly hadn’t believed it would happen!

How about us today? Are we surprised or shocked when Daddy God answers our prayers? It’s like we are praying without faith! That seems crazy, but in reality how many times do we pray or just speak at Daddy God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit while not believing They will answer our prayers?

Let’s not be like those praying for Peter’s release who when it happened had a hard time believing it!
