Authority — “You seem to always be looking at people by their outward appearances. If someone is confident that he belongs to Christ, he should remind himself of this: we belong to Christ no less than he does. I am not ashamed, even if I’ve come across as one who has overstated the authority given to us by the Lord. For it is the authority to help build you up, not tear you down.” (2 Corinthians 10:7-8, The Passion Translation)

Christ gave us authority in some area’s and gave others authority in their own areas. It’s not to make one person greater than the others. It’s for those in authority to help others become stronger and to help us in our weaknesses.

Once you know your area of influence, use it to build others up, not to lord it over them!
