When Good Men Believe Bad Theology

The Promise of Partnership

Here's what I want every good man to know: God's design for marriage is even more beautiful than you've been taught.

When both husband and wife are fully empowered to contribute their gifts, when both lead and follow as appropriate, when both submit to each other out of reverence for Christ—that's when marriage becomes a living picture of the Trinity's perfect unity and love.

You don't lose anything by embracing mutual submission. You gain:

  • A true partner instead of a dependent follower

  • Access to feminine wisdom that complements your masculine perspective

  • Shared responsibility instead of crushing solo leadership pressure

  • Deeper intimacy that comes from equality and vulnerability

  • A stronger witness to a world hungry for authentic relationships

  • The full flowering of both your potential and hers

The Perichoretic Circle Dance vs. The Power Pyramid

Two Competing Models

The Pyramid Model (World's System):

  • Power flows in one direction: downward

  • Authority means control over others

  • Leaders exist to be served

  • Those below exist to support those above

  • Success means climbing higher

  • Appearance of “unity” achieved through submission to authority

  • Strength measured by position in hierarchy

The Perichoretic (Circle Dance) Model:

  • Power flows in all directions

  • Authority means responsibility to serve

  • Leaders exist pave the way; they go first

  • Leaders lift others up

  • Leaders do not use others to lift themselves up

  • Everyone contributes their unique gifts

  • Success means everyone flourishing

  • Unity is achieved through mutual submission and honor

  • Strength measured by collective growth

Breaking the Sacred — Secular Divide

When the Lord first pushed me from traditional church ministry into the business world, I felt like I was crossing a spiritual border—leaving the "sacred" realm for the "secular" many believers, I had unconsciously divided life into two categories: kingdom work(ministry) and worldly work (everything else).I was wrong about almost everything. What I discovered in that transition changed not only how I do business but how I understand God's heart for His entire creation. Today, I want to challenge one of the most destructive lies that has weakened the Church and limited our impact in the world: the myth of the sacred-secular divide.

The Leaven Effect

The Renaissance Effect

When Kingdom love truly takes hold in a culture, it transforms everything:

·         Art becomes inspired rather than merely decorative

·         Government becomes servant leadership rather than power-grabbing

·         Business becomes ‘solutionary’ rather than exploitative

·         Entertainment uplifts rather than degrades

·         Science seeks truth rather than just profit

·         Education develops the whole person rather than just producing workers

History shows us glimpses of this. The Italian Renaissance wasn't just about pretty paintings—it was a cultural transformation that elevated human dignity, celebrated creativity, and brought light into dark ages. Much of it was fueled by a rediscovery of biblical truths about human value and God's creativity.
