New, 2 Cor 5-17-19 (The Passion Translation), “Now, if anyone is enfolded into Christ, he has become an entirely new person. All that is related to the old order has vanished. Behold, everything is fresh and new. And God has made all things new, and reconciled us to Himself, and given us the ministry of reconciling others to God. In other words, it was through the Anointed One that God was shepherding the world, not even keeping records of their transgressions, and He has entrusted to us the ministry of opening the door of reconciliation to God.”

We haven’t been restored like an old car that gets a new paint job. In Christ we become brand new. Something that never exist before! When you restore an old house or car, it still has the old structure in it. Its past is still attached to it. When we come into the revelation of Christ in us, even our old selves and habits are made new. Our actions, thoughts, and ways become new. Even our culture can become brand new as we life out this new life.

Is your past haunting you? There is a way to becoming new. It’s through Jesus who gave up His old for the new you!
